Massey University Palmerston North campus

Program Overview

  • Study at Massey University’s original campus in Palmerston North, which is known as the ‘Student City’ due to the fact that half of the population is below the age of 25
  • Get an adrenaline rush during our Orientation Excursion in the 'adventure capital of the world' - Queenstown - where you are exposed not only to local culture and incredible nature but to New Zealand’s love of extreme adventure
  • Experience living with local and international students in the university's apartment-style or dormitory-style housing
  • Live in a student-centered small town that’s within a two hours’ drive from Wellington, the Central Plateau ski fields, Lake Taupo, and the beaches and wineries of Hawke’s Bay
  • Go on an adventure with our mid-semester excursion option to Thailand’s culture-rich cities and beautiful beaches
  • Appreciate access to TEAN’s Palmerston North-based Resident Director for continued support throughout the semester
  • Gain hands on experience through an optional internship in the communications field

Palmerston North, New Zealand

Palmerston North is great for those who want:
  • an immersive community experience - you’ll definitely leave with heaps of Kiwi friends
  • to live in a smaller city in rural New Zealand, where half the population is under 25, but still close to larger hotspots like Wellington
