WORLD: The David & Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning Photo Contest
If you studied abroad between Spring 2024 through Spring 2025 we welcome you to enter the annual WORLD: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning Photo Contest. We are focusing on a theme we call
“Global Hatters” so we want to see you and your friends out there, living, learning, and experiencing the world beyond our borders! Your photos may be featured on Stetson websites and social media!
While we love scenery photos,
we especially want to see photos of Hatters abroad!
The winner will receive $30 in Mainstreet Dollars! Mainstreet dollars can be used at several restaurants and businesses in Downtown Deland, including places like Boston Coffee, Cafe DaVinci, Pat and Toni's Sweet Things, Santorini's, Trilogy Coffee, Mr. Bills Donuts, Whit's Custard, Bodhi + Sol Spa, and more. Participant Qualifications:
Open to all students of Stetson University who have studied or interned abroad through Stetson University during
Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024, or Spring Break 2025.
Judging:
1. Photos will undergo preliminary judging by staff at WORLD: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning
2. Semifinalists' photos will be put online for open judging by the Stetson community.
3. A winner will be selected and will receive 30
Mainstreet Dollars!
Image Submissions:
• Must be accompanied by a name, and an optional brief description of the image.
• All images must be submitted digitally (JPEG, PNG, GIF, PDF, or TIFF only).
• Entries may not alcohol, drugs, or any kind of illegal or inappropriate behavior.
• Students may submit up to
8 photos for judging.
• Images should be submitted to: world.stetson.edu by
March 28, 2025.
• Submissions must be accompanied by a release form giving Stetson University the right to reproduce prints from students' entries and to display and use reproductions in college publications, college slide shows or in any other non-commercial manner.
