We know that many Stetson students are interested in the hands-on experience internships provide and are working to increase the opportunities for you to do an internship abroad.  Data shows that employers prefer to hire graduates with hands-on experience in their majors, and in a different cultural context. The ability to understand how other works in other countries is particular appealing to employers as more intercultural teams work collaboratively globally in almost every field.  We can help you obtain international internships, and if you don't see an opportunity in our listing please contact us so we can help you find one to meet your needs. 

In addition to the opportunities listed on this site, Stetson provides a resource to all our students called "Going Global." 

 

Going Global

Going Global career and employment resources include more than 10,000 pages of constantly-updated content on topics such as:  job search sources, work permit/visa regulations, resume writing guidelines and examples, employment trends, salary
ranges, networking groups, cultural/interviewing advice… and much more!


VISIT THE GLOBAL FORUM TO CHAT ABOUT LIVING AND WORKING ABROAD!
Additionally, the USA City Guides contain career and employment resources for the 40 largest metropolitan areas in the USA.   Included in this database are: job search resources, employment outlook, professional networking groups, cost of living, major employer listings by industry sector, non-profits and volunteer opportunities.  H1B employer listings are also listed for all 50 states!

To begin exploring Going Global complete the following steps:
Access from an on-campus computer (DeLand, Celebration and Law School campuses):


  • Once logged in, create an account from an on-campus Stetson computer and note your account information (If you plan to access Going Global from an off campus computer you must create an account.)

  • Begin exploring the site.
