Approval Process and Legal Authority
World: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning is responsible for overseeing the agreement approval process with foreign institutions. World: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning will maintain agreement records and reports. The originating department and School/College, not World: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning, will have responsibility for the administration or implementation of agreements and be responsible for the allocation of any resources in support of agreements. Exchange agreements between the Stetson University and foreign universities or agencies are governed by a combination of Florida State law and Stetson University policies.

The format of exchange agreements has been prescribed by the university.

Typical Duration
Agreements normally are valid for three - five (3-5) years; therefore, when considering a relationship with a foreign institution, sustained faculty involvement remains the most critical ingredient in a successful relationship. Faculty must serve as the academic coordinators and student recruiters when applicable, in addition they must help monitor the balance and quality of the exchange if the agreement includes this.

Current Active Agreements
Before completing this Worksheet, make sure an agreement does not already exist with the prospective cooperating institution. Please contact ecanny@stetson.edu to determine if an agreement has already been established.

World ArchitectureProposal Worksheet
