The IES Abroad London Summer Internship Program
The IES Abroad London Internship Program focuses on practical experience in the workplace as an invaluable addition to classroom learning as well as the cultivation of global leadership skills. An internship with IES Abroad London provides vital insights into a career field, experience in the global workplace, practical exposure to the demands of specific jobs, and development of professional and personal skills. As well as developing your personal CV (résumé), an internship affords you the opportunity to directly experience the many cultures and people who make up the UK.

Program Details

  • Enroll in an internship seminar and the core course Leadership & Organizations: Cultural and Community Contexts for a total of 6 credits
  • Housing options in the  IES Abroad London Residence Hall or a homestay
  • Visit exciting cities such as Cambridge, Brighton, or Stratford-Upon-Avon through IES Abroad field trips

Internships are available in the following areas:

  • Arts & Museum-- previous placements include the Royal Academy of Art, The Space, Handel House Museum
  • Business-- previous placements include BBC Worldwide, St. Jame's Place Wealth Management
  • Education-- previous placements include assistant at primary school
  • Media-- previous placements include Black Spring Press, International Collective, Traffic Marketing
  • Politics-- previous placements include the Policy Studies Institute, The Institute of Ideas, The Labour Party
  • Theater-- previous placements include The Actor's Center, The Space Arts Venue, Quicksilver Theare
