Vision
Windesheim is a broad, innovative knowledge institution. An institution that also wants to be valuable for students, staff, professions and society for the long-term. Therefor creating value for the region, the Netherlands and internationally.
Students develop into responsible, value conscious professionals. Professionals who act from within a vision at good citizenship in which personal, institutional and governmental values play an important role. The University of Applied sciences is continuously searching for improvement. Acting professionally for all staff is the base for quality. Quality is not a lucky strike, but a logical consequence of process control and being in-tune with the environment. Education, research and venture ship are integrated and amplify each other in quality and modernization. Students, organizations with which we can cooperate and the national and international environment can profit from this.
We believe in the power of difference. Being able to handle diversity (differences in background, education, values, culture and beliefs) enhances the quality of acting professionally. Within both the organization as well as within studies taking responsibility and aiming for results is highly stimulated.

City Information:

Windesheim is in Zwolle, the Netherlands, a provincial capital northeast of the country’s geographic centre. With a population of over 110,000, Zwolle is an economic hub with a rich history. At its heart, cobbled streets thread their way between great churches and imposing monuments to the city’s mercantile past. Around this inner district is a dynamic modern town. Large enough to provide all the amenities of twenty-first century life, yet small enough to keep them close at hand.
