Program Description:
Study French and French Culture in Aix-en-Provence!  Stetson Abroad participants take French language and culture courses through CEA . Students may earn a minor in French during their semester abroad.

Ensure you meet all the requirements for this exchange, listed below, before starting an application.

•    At least Sophomore Standing
•    16 Stetson credits completed at time of application
•    French 202 completed at time of departure
•    2.5 cumulative Stetson University GPA at time of application and departure
•    Good academic, judicial, and financial standing at time of application and departure
•    All students are expected to enroll in the equivalent of at least 12 credits while abroad

The Stetson Exchange program is competitive. Enrollment is limited in all programs.
Meeting the requirements does not guarantee admission to a given program in a given semester.

As with all exchange programs, students will pay their regular tuition to Stetson (plus a mandatory $275 insurance charge) and can apply their financial aid.  An additional $5,000 will be paid directly to CEA to cover your homestay, meals (breakfast & dinner M-F and breakfast on weekends), program excursions, and airport pickup upon arriving in France.

Students are also responsible for the cost of their own airfare, visa, books and course materials, and personal expenses.


All participants live with French host families, allowing them to develop vernacular as well as academic language skills.

While SU and the foreign institution may produce documents required for students to secure a visa; the processes, cost and responsibility of securing a visa are the student's alone.
SU cannot secure visas for students per the requirements of consulates.
