Register International Travel
- Each trip is a separate event and requires a separate registration and activation by SU.
- Persons Covered: All SU employees traveling internationally on University business, using University funding, or through activities organized, sponsored, or sanctioned by the University are covered.
- Persons Not Covered: Persons not acting in an official capacity for the trip (i.e. spouses or children) are not covered or eligible to elect coverage. It is strongly recommended that any non-covered person traveling internationally secure alternative international insurance.
- Duration of Coverage: Coverage begins from the date of departure to the date of return to the United States.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
All Stetson faculty and staff are required to register international travel conducted on behalf of the university at least 15 days prior to departure.
Stetson funded/sponsored/directed international travel is allowed to Level 1 and Level 2 countries. Travel to Level 3 countries and to Cuba requires pre-approval by the Office of the Provost. Travel is not allowed to Level 4 countries. To view a list of current travel advisories and warning levels, please visit the State Department website.
Even if you are receiving external funding for your travel, if you are conducting work in the name of the university, you must register your international travel.
Registering your international travel will ensure that you are covered by the university's travel insurance policy while you are abroad.
