Program Description:
Study Abroad in Santiago
Why Santiago? Santiago, the Republic of Chile's capital city, is a dynamic urban
center with a population of 5 million people and a distinctly Latin
flair. Because of Chile's fast-growing economy, Santiago is also an
ideal place to observe rapid development and the effects of change on
culture and society. Santiago's prime location makes for easy exploration of the glaciers of Patagonia, the legendarily dry Atacama Desert, the Andes Mountains, and the beaches of the Pacific Ocean.
The IES Abroad Santiago Program Students can fully immerse themselves in the daily life and culture of Chile while studying the Spanish language, Chile, and Latin America. The program courses focus on Chile but also address issues in the Southern Cone, the Andean region, and the Pacific Rim in a comparative context. Program Details
